HTT-02 Hot Tack Tester
Hot tack strength refers to the strength measured by peeling the heat-sealed sample at a certain speed before it returns to room temperature, i.e. while it's still hot.
Hot tack property is important since this situation occurs on vertical form-fill-seal packaging, during which no much cooling time is given. In the packing line, contents are dropped into the bag immediately after the sealing bars have opened.
Since the content can be heavy, the hot seal must be able to withstand high loads, thus requiring a high hot tack force.
Test principle
Under known temperature, contact time and pressure conditions, the sample is heat sealed from two heating bars/jaws. Before the temperature drops to room temperature, peel off the heat sealed surface with a certain speed and test its force value, which is the hot tack strength.
Technical features
HTT-02 hot tack tester adopts latest vertical structure and it realizes automatic sample inserting and high speed separation. The application of PLC control unit and HMI touch screen ensure the stability of tester.
HTT-02 is also able to realize precious speed control(by ball lead screw), temperature control and unform heating.
