Tester Description
The HSU-01, often referred to as a tape unwind tester, is engineered to quantify the force needed to unwind adhesive tapes from their rolls at high speeds in a controlled manner.
To conduct the test, one end of the tape is firmly secured to a fixture, such as a rotating mandrel or spindle, mimicking the unwinding process in practical applications. The other end is fixed in place.
The tester is configured to unwind the tape at a specified high speed, typically indicated in inches per minute (IPM) or millimeters per second (mm/s), aligning with applicable testing standards or specific user requirements.
As the tape unwinds, the apparatus measures the force or tension needed to maintain the set speed. This data is continuously tracked and recorded, capturing both the maximum and average forces throughout the unwinding operation.
