Application

Test Principle

For the Shear Adhesion test on a Standard Steel Panel, a strip of tape is applied to a standard steel panel using controlled roll-down procedures. The panel is positioned vertically, with a standard weight attached to the free end of the tape. The test measures either the time until failure or the extent of slippage, determining how well the tape adheres under continuous stress.

How to Evaluate
Upon completing the test duration, carefully remove the weights. Utilize a magnifying glass with measurement markings to quantify the amount of slippage, or document the time taken for the tape to detach completely from the panel.
