Application

Test Process

In the test process, a cutting knife is used to create a slit that stops 43mm from the opposite edge of the sample. Once the slit is made, a pendulum mechanism is released under the influence of gravity, allowing the slit to extend through the remaining 43mm of the sample. The energy expended by the pendulum during this tearing process is measured to calculate the average tear force.
